Bug Identifier may request access to your device's location to improve identification accuracy. Location sharing is optional and can be disabled in Settings. If enabled, location data is only sent with identification requests and is not stored permanently.
The app requires camera access to take photos of insects for identification. Photos are processed locally when possible. If sent to our servers for AI identification, images are used solely for that session and are deleted immediately after processing.

Bug Identifier integrates with Apple's App Store for in-app purchases and subscription management. When you make purchases:
• Payment processing is handled securely by Apple according to their privacy policies

• Apple handles all billing and payment data under their Terms of Service
• Your payment information is subject to Apple's privacy policy, not ours
• Purchase history and subscription status may be shared with us by Apple to provide service
This app complies with Apple's 2025 Privacy Manifest requirements. We declare all data types collected and justify API usage with approved codes. No third-party SDKs with data access capabilities are used beyond Apple's payment processing.
No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services are used. All bug identification processing is done either locally on your device or through our own identification service.
