Split Tasks Without Turning It Into a Project
Most shared work isn’t really a project. It’s a wedding, a house move, a renovation, a party — a pile of jobs split loosely between a few people who already know roughly what they’re doing.
Project tools are built for something else, and all that structure is usually why they get abandoned somewhere around week two.
Every extra field costs you
Due dates, statuses, priorities, sub-tasks, a required assignee. All of it earns its keep when a manager needs a report at the end of the month. When it’s you and two friends sorting out a birthday, each field is one more reason not to bother adding the task at all.

- A completed section, so the group can see what’s been done rather than just a shrinking list
- Notes on the few items that genuinely need the detail
